Abstract

Kendenglembu site is located in Karangharjo Village, Glenmore, Banyuwangi. This site stores a wide array of potential archaeological resources that can be developed into attractions, especially historical tourism. The types of relics that exist inherit the relics of prehistoric times, in the classical period, and in the colonial period. This study aims: 1) menhganalisis any potential contained in Kendenglembu site that can be developed into a historical tourism destination; 2) develop a model of historical tourism site Kendenglembu. The method used in this research includes several stages, namely the determination of the location of research, methods of determining informants, data collection methods, research instruments, methods of testing the validity of data, and methods of data analysis. The results showed that Kendenglembu site has the potential to be developed into a historical tourism destination in Banyuwangi District. Potentials include three periods, namely the prehistoric (Neolithic), the classical period (Majapahit and Blambangan Kingdom), and the Dutch colonial period. The prehistoric period consisted of Buying, Shale, Tatal, Grinding Stone, Neolithic period mining, Neolithic residences, wood barking tools, Lumpang Stone, Mesh Nets, and broken pottery. While in the classical period found Lingga Yoni, Lumpang Stone, Milk jug, and broken pottery in Majapahit and Blambangan. Furthermore, in the colonial period found the buildings that were built during the Dutch colonialism such as the official housing and pagargunung, cocoa and rubber processing factories, factory machinery and factory mesim driven by water mill. In addition to the main potential on the site Kendenglembu there is also a potential support in the form of natural scenery around Kendenglembu Site, Sidodadi Reservoir, cocoa processing and rubber, the process of making brown sugar. In addition Kendenglembu Site is not the only site that holds a wealth of prehistoric and historical relics such as Pagergunung Site, 1-3 Ox River, Senepo Lor, Sukobumi, Trebasala, Panuwunmukti, Kampunganyar, Seneposari, Seneposepi, Tunggul Arum, Mulyosari, Kaliagung, Sumbergandeng 1 and 2. The development of the historical tourism model of Kendenglembu is an integrated and sustainable historical tourism model. Keywords: Development, Historical Tourism, Kendenglembu Site, Banyuwangi
